Cordova Bay

Well, the last shot was a sunset, so of course this one had to be a sunrise! I took advantage of a chance at a free place to stay over on Vancouver Island, and spent a few days visiting a friend in Cordova Bay. One morning around 5:50 in the morning, I got up to use the bathroom and found the kitchen flooded in pink light. Despite my sleepisness, I stumbled outside to snap a few shots as the sun came up over the mountains across the channel.

I think I've never seen such an all-over orange sunrise and certainly not in such an environment, very special and beautiful. Very worthwhile to stumble outside for.
